Primary School

After School Football

The After School Football club is arranged through the FAI Development Officer, the school and a local club. The programme can run from 6-10 weeks depending on facilities and coach availability. Most programmes can run on the school grounds by the coaches, which creates less hassle for parents in terms of picking up and dropping off.

There is no cost to the school to offer this programme but the children may have to pay a small fee to cover the cost of the coach.

By getting the local club involved in the programme, a link can be created for both the school and club to work together and help give opportunities to boys and girls who may have never played football before.

All coaches will be registered and Garda Vetted with the FAI.

Primary School Futsal

The primary schools competition caters for boys and girls in 3rd and 4th class. The programme delivers a quality fast paced action packed game focusing on skill, speed and technique. Competitions run between October and December with the emphasis on fun and participation.

Who can take part?

3rd & 4th Class boys and girls.

Entry fee of €25 applies.

PE Sessions

This 6 week programme is run in conjunction with external FAI and club coaches. The programme can work around the schools timetable and is available for any age group. This programme is free for schools to take part in.

The FAI Development Officers can also help primary schools develop links with local clubs so that a pathway can be created from school to club in order for any new players to continue to play football locally.

All coaches will be registered and Garda Vetted with the FAI.
